Venusian Gardens is an exciting new venue to hold your wedding or reception. In addition to offering a unique environment, we also offer some unique "extras," to make your event a memorable one. We have the capacity for a maximum of 200 guests including wedding party. For very small weddings we also recommend the use of glassLight gallery, located in the heart of the French Quarter, which can accommodate up to 15 guests. For those who wish to have simple, small weddings we offer several wedding packages. However, full wedding services are available and we encourage you to construct your own package to fit your own dreams. Now, what else is special about having a wedding here besides the environment? Read on.... Luminous Rituals One option to make your wedding even more special - and fun - is to include a luminous ritual into the ceremony. At Venusian Gardens we can incorporate the lighting of custom made neon artwork into a ceremonial act - artwork which the bride and groom can take with them as a sculptural memento of their wedding that they can continue to enjoy for years. (more info) Bridal Sculpture Registry We offer a special bridal sculpture registry service that allows the bride and groom to establish a registry fund for the purchase of artwork. Guests can donate into the fund (amounts can be kept anonymous if desired) that then goes toward the purchase of the artwork selected by the bride and groom. In honor of the couple's special event, Venusian Gardens offers the sculpture at a 20% discount.( more info) Catering There are many great caterers Venusian Gardens is proud to work with. Or, we will work with a caterer of your choice. Delicious menus are available that provide a broad range of choices of the finest cuisine. Ranging from Creole and Cajun dishes to the most elegant of French and Italian to good old American, we can please the most discriminating palate. In the near future, we will also be offering some signature Venusian specialties as well! (more info) Entertainment We maintain a full database of entertainers. Be it a strolling violinist, a chamber group, jazz combo, or rock and roll, we can provide some of the finest New Orleans has to offer. In addition, we have mimes, tarot and palm readers, clowns, stilt walkers, fire eaters and pretty much anything out there. For those that are exceedingly adventurous, we also work with performance artists who can "set the stage" so that the wedding ceremony can become a performance entertainment event itself. (more info) Gifts & Party Favors In addition to the sculpture exhibited in the art gallery at Venusian Gardens, we also have small and less expensive artwork available - some "Venusian" in nature, others not. For wedding favors, we can provide personalized Mardi Gras beads and a variety of inexpensive favors that your guests can keep as mementos of the occasion.
